A charmingly campy and zany little zine.An Excerpt:“One of the alleged perks of working here is access to “sample sales”. All the crap they sell in the stores starts with a sample given to a buyer from a vendor. They amass so much stuff that they have to periodically purge it. Every day usually, some random wares are placed on a certain table, complete with garage sale style prices....“Sometimes, though, the samples table is insufficient to hold all the reduced-price largesse and “the cage” is a special room for this purpose. These larger sample sales are preceded by a lot of bruhaha. The anticipation of bargains is quite scintillating to the middle-aged female office worker set. So you can almost hear the sighs of disappointment and indignant stares when a sign was posted forbidding anyone to enter the cage. Apparently, the collective efforts of all of China’s cheap plastic crap in an enclosed area had produced an offgassing the likes of which has never been smelled, and the fumes were so great as to cause a certain Administrative Assistant to pass out, thereby bringing the sample sale frenzy to a screeching halt.”
